Rankins Restaurant

Delicious - but will we be back soon? Not sure...

Rankins has been in Sissinghurst for longer than I have (and that's saying something) but I'm ashamed to say that until recently we had never eaten there. A real case of taking for granted what is right on your doorstep. I'm glad that recently we couldn't get into Apicius on short notice and so booked at Rankins. It was a treat from start to end. Good portion sizes, fresh, local ingredients and friendly service. We enjoyed it immensely. The only slight question is would we hurry back - given it's taken us years to get here in the first place, possibly not, but we will be recommending it highly to others!
