We had our works Xmas Do on Friday at Raffles, I have to say, and I believe this was the over riding opinion, that it was a great place for the do, the food was great (comfy chairs) and the staff were efficient. The manageress and owner worked well together and had great respect for each other. The atmosphere was great and it all combined to give us a great do this year. Im sure we were rowdy, but this was all taken in spirit and I felt very welcome. Great rating for me, thanx Raffles

This building is ghastly from the outside, but don't let that put you off: once you're through the door it's a modern, chilled out place with plenty of options and loads of space. It's a bar as well as a restaurant and you can eat inside or out, depending on the weather (Let's face it, it's going to be an inside thing for a while now...) The food is great, the service quick and friendly and the wine list is very decent. I recommend it, particularly if you're in a big group as the upper floor is perfect for a dinner party type thing.
Raffles is a bit of a mix of everything really. Pub, wine bar, restaurant, al fresco dining, Western food, Eastern food, Mediterranean food. Basically its a restaurant for all!
