Following on from April's successful meeting of local Cranbrook Home office workers the group is meeting up again this Friday in Cranbrook, Kent @12:30pm.
A Weald Business Association initiative, the aim is to bring together people for whom the office coffee gossip break and the luxury of instant I.T. support just don’t exist and to provide a forum to discuss some of the issues peculiar to Home office workers. Discussions last time ranged from how best to maintain concentration, the best music to work to...if any and strategies to avoid distractions to the pros and cons of a Mac over a PC or an iPhone over a Blackberry, PL/PI insurance cost comparison, Broadband and IT issues and places to meet clients when you don’t want to meet them at home. Home offices are often newish businesses and whilst there are some good resources on line the general feeling was that this was a great opportunity to bounce ideas off each other and to learn from others who have already been through the process. It's also a great place to network and meet other local businesses.
