Crime rates tumble in Cranbrook

Figures just released confirm what we kind of knew already - that Cranbrook is a pretty safe place to be! And the good news is it appears to be getting safer each month.

Crime rates are falling in Cranbrook
Data from the brilliant http://maps.police.uk/ website allows you to view crime rates across the whole of the UK, to zoom in on your own area in order to view trends, and the rise or fall in certain types of crimes recorded.
Overall, crime in Cranbrook has fallen a whopping 44.9% in the 3 month period July to September 2010 compared with the same period in 2009. This equates to, on average, 16.3 crimes being committed each month here as opposed to 29.7 last year. Crime rates too are down to just 2.1 from 3.9 per 1000 people in the town.
Different types of crime are able to be scrutinised and reveal that offences involving:
* Burglary fell by 46.7%
* Robbery fell by 100%
* Vehicle crime fell by 87.5%
* Violent crime fell by 15.4%
* Antisocial behaviour fell by 34.9%
