Angley School Farm, Cranbrook - Community project funding

Angley School Open Farm needs help with purchasing equipment to aid the running of Farm. Would love to buy a tractor to help with cleaning out of animal pens. Over 5000 visitors throughout year including preschools means keeping animal pens cleaned out.

What does your charity/project do?
The farm has open days & events such as Lambing Weekend when open to the public. Preschools visit during the year. Visitors always welcome. Angley Young Farmers Club work on the farm cleaning the farm & animals - also attending agricultural shows this year they have been to South of England, Kent Show, Heathfield, Edenbridge & Oxted & Cranleigh. The prizes won and money raised through open events are ploughed back into the farm so it is self-sufficient. Planning to attend local ploughing Match.
How does your charity/project support the local community?
Local schools and preschools visit the farm regularly. Some children have never seen cows milked or chickens laying eggs, here at the farm, there are opportunities to do so along with feeding the animals and learning about their environment and the food chain. The Farm also provides a quantity of meat for the local butchers.
What do you plan to use the CommunityForce award for?
For several years now we have been raising money to buy a tractor with a front loader which would be used to help clean out the sheds and pens doing this manually takes many man hours that could be better used elsewhere on the farm.
